Celebrating and Shaping Successful Journeys in Partnership
'Lots of food for thought; enjoyed work on design, meeting other schools, having time to think about my own school development.'
EdisonLearning held its 4th annual Network Learning Conference on the 20th March at the SAS Radisson Hotel at Stansted Airport.
The Network Learning Conference is a unique event which brings together school leaders from across the EdisonLearning family to engage in a day of professional reflection and challenge, and to meet colleagues from different schools serving widely different communities. This year saw around 100 delegates from secondary, special and primary schools come together with the EdisonLearning team to consider some of the current hot topics on the education radar.
The theme of school design featured throughout the day, but not just the narrow definition of design that leads to the construction of unimaginative new school buildings. Instead, there was an opportunity to look at how research into learning is now being used to inform the physical, educational and organisational design of schools, guiding initiatives from green-field projects, to minor refurbishments.
But the main purpose of the day was to provide an opportunity for schools to network and to make contact with potential new partners - building the next stage on their partnership journey.
'All of the presentations were superb and thought provoking. They are relevant to current projects in school and have given many ideas of new approaches to motivate and energise staff.'
