Edison Schools UK was founded in 2002 to provide frontline school improvement services in the UK. Edison is staffed by experienced educators and specialists in school improvement in the UK, and is headed by Managing Director Mark Logan and Director of Education Paul Lincoln.

The company is based in Colchester, Essex, and is a subsidiary of Edison Inc., based in New York, USA. Edison Inc. was founded in 1992 and is a leading provider of educational services in the US.
