PLiP - Listening to students and communities
Engagng stakeholders in the transformation debate.
PLiP equips authority and bidding consortia with practical means to find out what students, teachers, families and communities really think about the prospects for educational change and transformation through BSF. Designed originally as a tool to engage students in conversation about the learning opportunities provided to them by their schools, PlIP Version 2 now expands the possiblities through the provision of a stakeholder engagement tool that allows you to get real and relevant opinion on the key questions that matter to your project. Unlike most simple polling tools, PLiP doesn't just give you raw opinion data, it also gathers ideas and opinions that can make the real difference between a bland proposition and a deeply relevant and personalised solution that truly meets the expressed needs of a community.
PLiP comprises both an intensive research and consultation process, and an innovative new software framework for gathering data and analysing your project requirements. Your EdisonLearning PLiP team works with you to structure and guide the process, with advice rooted in research and best practice, and taking into account the data from your own research collected during the PLiP process. The virtue of PLiP is that it allows project groups to personalose the engagement plan to the unique character of your own locality.
Right at the heart of PLiP is the concept of 'learning conversations' between adults and students. These act as a catalyst for deep design consderations about the puspose, shape and structure of an individual school, or even a school system. Through a collaborative process, you will build a profile that describes what your stakeholders are seeking and anticipating from your BSF process, which you can then utilise to inform your procurement process or your bid response.
