Edison's work has been forged from extensive research into the factors that characterise outstanding schools and the processes that lead to effective school improvement. 

By understanding what makes a great school,  Edison have been able to develop tools and processes that can assist any school seeking to change or improve.  Consequently, our partners represent a very broad cross section of schools, from small rural primaries, to large urban secondaries and special schools.  Some face the challenges of low achievement and expectation while others seek a means for sustaining and further improving already outstanding performance.  What they all share is a recognition of the benefits that  partnership and collaboration can offer and a determination to improve their schools for the lasting benefit of their communities.

Edison Schools is the main partner to an increasing number of schools, providing critical friendship, expertise, capacity, practical tools and professional development, focused on helping each school achieve its own unique vision.

Our work is highly outcome-focused and seeks to build capacity within each school in order that they can sustain and continue improvement independently.  We do not seek to force change to happen overnight, but commit to consistent long-term collaborations to ensure that change happens at the right pace.
